Many pipers play in bands and ensembles where the standard bagpipe pitch is difficult to manage, and McCallum's Bb (B flat = 466) chanter is a great solution. Playing a Bb pitch makes it easier to coordinate playing with choirs, orchestras and bands of any type, except maybe pipe bands! We have customers who use this setup for playing in churches, with Celtic rock bands, and the City of Regina Pipe Band used this pitch when performing with Sir Paul McCartney in August, 2013. Depending on your drones, it might help to have a set of Bb adaptors for your drones, too, and we can also help with that.
